Jefferson County Extension Homemakers
The Jefferson County Extension Homemakers held the annual Achievement Day Sept. 13, 2013 at Kent United Methodist Church. The theme for the meeting was "Backyard Friends." The welcome was given by president Lisa Kramer. Sandy Keohler led the Extension Homemakers Creed. Linda Phillips led the Pledge of Allegiance. Kay Dunham took roll call. Janet McMahan presented a remembrance of late members. Lisa Kramer gave a report on the last year. Dorothy Canada gave the secretary's report. Ruth Kramer gave the treasurer's report. The program was presented by Jefferson County Sheriff John Wallace, "Personal Safety in Home and Out." Grace was said by Jean Gray. McMahan reported on the quilt show. Marie Black reported on scholarships awarded to Britt Copeland, Bailey Davis and Morgan Mahoney.
