Howells celebrate 50th anniversary

Stephen and Waltraud "Val" Schulz Howell of Lexington will celebrate their 50th anniversary Saturday, July 27, 2013. The couple married July 27, 1963, at Calvary Episcopal Church in Stonington, Ct. The Rev. John A. Greely presided.

Mr. Howell is a Marine Corps veteran. He has worked in the electric power and light industry for more than 40 years, as well as in the nuclear power plant industry. He is currently on the board of directors for the Madison Railroad. He enjoys buying and selling antiques, as well as working on cars and trucks. Mrs. Howell worked for more than 30 years in the administrative assistant field. She is a 33-year member of the Phi Beta Psi Sorority. She enjoys caring for their home and pets, reading and playing computer games.
They have two children, Christopher Howell of Brookeville, Ohio and Kimberly Howell of Avon. They also have four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. They are awaiting the birth of their second great-grandchild.
They will celebrate with their family. A reception will also be held in the early fall to celebrate with family and friends.
