Local nonprofit organizations will host another session of "Getting Ahead in a Just Gettin' by World," a program for self-starting residents looking to improve their financial situation, in September.
The program is sponsored by the Jefferson County United Way, River Valley Resources, and the Madison Salvation Army.
The free classes will be at the Salvation Army on Mondays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
This is a nine- to 10-week course. Classes will be concluded before Thanksgiving. All agencies are encouraged to refer possible candidates.
"Getting Ahead in a Just Getting' By World" is a program about building economic stability for people that find themselves struggling economically. The goal of the program is to help the investigators create their own path for making a stable, secure life for themselves and their families.
Contact the United Way office at (812) 265-2036 or Molly Dodge at River Valley Resources at (812) 265-2652 for further information or to refer a client to the program.
