Author Signings: That Book Place, 337 Clifty Drive, will hold several author signings during their annual Labor Day Sale Aug. 30 and Aug. 31 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Neavill's Grove Old Settler's Meeting: The 128th annual event will be held Aug. 30-Sept. 1. Friday will include a spaghetti dinner at 5 p.m. with entertainment from Erik Brunner and a fiddle contest at 7 p.m. Saturday's schedule begins at 11 a.m. with an official opening ceremony, antique tractor and garden tractor display, food, contests and children's games along with music at 7 p.m. from the Marlinaires. Sunday will start with a public worship service at 10 a.m., chicken dinner at 11:30 a.m. and a concert from The Woodsman Quartet at 1 p.m.
Computer Help: The Carroll County Public Library offers walk-in computer help and tutoring Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. Call (502) 732-7020 and ask for Sheila or email firstname.lastname@example.org to set up an appointment.
Walking: The Brown Gym will be open for walking from 5:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information call (812) 265-8308.
Zumba: Will be offered at 5:15 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays at the Carroll County Public Library.
Yoga and Hiking: Start the say with free yoga and hiking at 8:30 a.m. each Tuesday during June, July and August. Meet at the bottom of the Heritage Trail on Vaughn Drive. Those attending are asked to bring their own water and a yoga mat. The event will be canceled in case of rain. For more information call (812) 701-0284.

GED Help: Will be offered at 4 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Carroll County Public Library.

Walk Away the Pounds: Daily at 9 a.m. at the Carroll County Public Library.
Al-Anon Family Group: Will meet at 7 p.m. Fridays at Madison Presbyterian Church, 202 Broadway. For more information call (812) 493-3848.
Orchard Support Group: A support group for pregnant mothers, new mothers and mothers of older children who are battling addiction will meet from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursdays at the King's Daughters' Hospital.
Senior Citizens: The Madison Senior Center, 208 W. Main St., hosts activities during the week including euchre at noon on Monday and Thursday, and bingo at 10 a.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. The center also has a pool table, Wii, and dominoes. Lunch is available each day, but those interested must sign-up the day prior. For more information call (812) 265-4758.
Fourth Monday Book Group: Will meet at noon at the Carroll County Public Library to discuss "The Red House" by Mark Haddon. Copies are available at the desk.
Historic District Board of Review: Will meet at 5:30 p.m. in Madison City Hall. The filing deadline for applications to be considered is Aug. 7.
Veterans Benefits Representative: A veterans benefits field representative from the Kentucky Department of Veteran Affairs will be at the Veterans Affairs Health Clinic in Carrollton, Ky. on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The representative will be available to assist veterans and widows/widowers for free in filing for federal and state benefits for veterans and dependents. Fourth Tuesday Storytime: Will be held at 11 a.m. at Village Lights Bookstore. Jill Kelly Koren will tailor the selections to the ages of the audience.
911 Communications Administrative Board of Jefferson County: Will meet on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 4:15 p.m. at Madison City Hall. For more information call (812) 273-3313.
Work It Wednesday: The monthly business networking lunch will be held at noon at the chamber, 301 E. Main St. The 15-minute guest speaker will be Chris Thorstensen of the Madison Courier discussing the Chamber and Madison Courier Online Directory. Lunch is free for chamber members, $4 for non-members.
Lego Mania: Will be held at 3:30 p.m. at the Carroll County Public Library.
MCHS Senior Meeting: Madison Consolidated High School counselors will conduct a senior meeting for students and parents from 6 to 7 p.m. in the school auditorium. The informational meeting will cover: college applicatoins, scholarship information, financial aid, transcript requests, letters of recommendation, senior pictures, SAT/ACT scores, graduation and a question and answer session.
Moving for Better Health: The free senior exercise class will meet from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursdays at the Lide White Boys and Girls Club/Family and Community Center. For more information call (812) 273-1072.
Shelley Shepard Gray: The best-selling author will visit the Trimble County Public Library at 6:30 p.m. for a signing. She will also discuss her books and how the Amish inspire her writing. Registration is not required, but those who register in advance will be entered in a drawing for one of Gray's books. For more information call (502) 255-7362.
Preschool Orientation: Faith Lutheran Church Preschool will hold an orientation session for all parents, children and staff at the church, 3401 Michigan Road, at 7 p.m. There are still some preschool openings available. Senior Dance: Will be held Friday by the Madison Parks Department at the Brown Gym. The doors open at 5 p.m. Music begins at 6 p.m. Admission is $3.50 per person.
Fish Fry: The Dupont-Lancaster Volunteer Fire Department will host a fish fry on the last Saturday of the month at the Dupont fire house from 4 to 8 p.m.
River Run XVII Car Show: Will be held rain or shine along the Madison riverfront with registration from 8 a.m. to noon.
Rockin' on the Riverfront: The fundraiser for the Salvation Army will be held in Bicentennial Park. The event will feature the Never Too Late Praise Band from North United Methodist Church and The Monarchs performing rock and roll classics. The event is free, but donations will be accepted for the Salvation Army.
Carrollton's Family Celebration: Will be held at Point Park. The concert will start at 8 p.m. followed by fireworks at dark.
Harvest Hoot: Madison Vineyards Estate Winery, 1456 E. 400-N will celebrate the completion of the grape harvest Sept. 1 with live music, hay wagon and production tours, a grape stomp and more from noon to 6 p.m. Music will be provided by Greg Ziesemer and Kriss Luckett and Bomar and Ritter. Admission is free.

Big Oaks Conservation Society: Will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Jefferson County Public Library Madison Branch.
IKE Retirees: Retired employees of the Indiana-Kentucky Electric Corporation will meet for breakfast at 8 a.m. at Clifty Falls State Park's Falls Restaurant in Clifty Inn. All retirees and guests are welcome.
KDH Retirees: The retired employees of King's Daughters' Hospital will meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. at Key West Shrimp House
