A.D.E.P.T. Level I: Will meet from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 9 and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 10 at the Salvation Army, 331 E. Main St.

Zumba: Will be offered at 5:15 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays at the Carroll County Public Library.
Yoga and Hiking: Start the say with free yoga and hiking at 8:30 a.m. each Tuesday during June, July and August. Meet at the bottom of the Heritage Trail on Vaughn Drive. Walk Away the Pounds: Daily at 9 a.m. at the Carroll County Public Library.
Senior Dance: Will be held Friday by the Madison Parks Department at the Brown Gym featuring the music of Tommy Day and Cool Country. The doors open at 5 p.m. Music begins at 6 p.m. Admission is $3.50 per person.
Carrollton Idol: Carrollton Idol winners Vanessa Birchfield from 2012 and Jordan Wilson from 2013 will be joined by host Brandon Stewart at 6 p.m. at the Carroll County Public Library.
Freethinkers, Coffee and Conversation: Will meet in the Atrium Room of the Village Lights Bookstore at 6 p.m. with guest Jim Helton.
Music in the Park: Will feature the Slick River Rockets, opened by Bigfoot for President starting at 6:30 p.m. at The Broadway Fountain. New this year will be hot food available starting at 6 p.m. with Tiffany's Lounge and Frazer Dogs.
John and Charity Hall Reunion: The families of John and Charity Hall will gather for a reunion from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Neavill's Grove All family and friends are invited. For more information call (812) 273-4281.
Court Street Cinemas: Will screen "The Host" at 2 p.m. at the Carroll County Public Library. The film is rated PG13.
Dr. Jack Kaufman-McKivigan: The Historic Eleutherian College will host Dr. Jack Kaufman-McKivigan, professor of history at Indiana University Purdue University, at 3 p.m. He will speak on the northern church and the moral dimension of the slavery dispute. Guided tours of the college will be offered from 1 to 2:30 p.m. The presentation is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted. Behind the Scenes Tour: Take a behind the scenes tour of the Lanier Mansion on the second Saturday of the month at 4 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors over 60 and $5 for children. The tours, which are limited to 15 people, include the basement, cupola, East wing and information not included on the standard tour. Reservations are required. Pet Portraits Part I: Bring your pet to the Carroll County Public Library to have a portrait taken by News-Democrat photographer Kristin Beck starting at 10 a.m. A donation of cat or dog food, or cat litter for the Carroll County Animal Support Group is requested. Adams Reunion: Will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hanover Fire House with a pitch-in dinner. All friends and relatives are welcome.
Kessler-Weber Reunion: Will be held at Neavill's Grove with the meal at 1 p.m. Those attending are asked to bring drinks and a table service, along with a covered dish to share.
PFLAG: Will meet at 3 p.m. at Hanover Presbyterian Church. Ruth Turner, a Hanover College political scientist, will speak about the history of gay liberation in America. Members are asked to bring pictures from the Regatta Parade. Information about the National Convention in October will also be available.

Jefferson County Republican Women: Will meet at 6 p.m. on the second Monday of the month at Franco's, with a speaker from the Madison Police Department discussing personal safety. Plans will also be made for the upcoming ice cream social. All Republican women are welcome.

Veterans Benefits Representative: A veterans benefits field representative from the Kentucky Department of Veteran Affairs will be at the Veterans Affairs Health Clinic in Carrollton, Ky. on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The representative will be available to assist veterans and widows/widowers for free in filing for federal and state benefits for veterans and dependents. NARFE: The National Association of Active and Retired Federal Employees Chapter 1677 will meet at noon at Ponderosa Steakhouse, 327 Clifty Drive. Natalie Stephan, Jefferson County Options Counselor with Lifetime Resources will be the guest speaker. All federal retirees, active federal employees, postal employees and guests are welcome.
Thomas Jefferson - His Architecture and Gardens: Joe Carr, retired director of the Jefferson County Historical Society, will present a free program on Thomas Jefferson's architecture and gardens at 7 p.m. at the Heritage Center, 615 W. First St.
