The World Comes to Madison: The Seifert-Short Museum and Learning Center, 113 E. Third St., will display nativities and crèches from around the world during the holiday season. The museum will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays in December and January. It will be closed Dec. 26. Free admission.

Depression Support Group: A spiritually-based depression support group will meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 1429 Clifty Drive. Senior Dance: Will be held Friday by the Madison Parks Department at the Brown Gym featuring the music of Tommy Day and Cool Country. The doors open at 5 p.m. Music begins at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $3 and includes snacks, drinks and door prizes.

December 22

Feel the Love: December 21st marks the end of the Mayan calendar, but not the end of the world. Celebrate the beginning of a new era from 10 a.m. to noon at the Brown Gym. Lisa Smitley will speak. The program is free and open to the public and will conclude with a blessing ceremony down by the river.

Sip N' Knit: Will meet from 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays at Harriette's Knit Knook, 103 E. Main St. All types of stitchery are welcome.

Court Street Cinemas - Odd Life of Timothy Green: Will be shown at 2 p.m. at the Carroll County Public Library. The film is rated PG.

Fourth Monday Kids' Storytime: Will be held at 11 a.m. at Village Lights Bookstore. Jill Kelly Koren will read to young book lovers. Selections will be tailored to the ages in the audience.

"The Night Before Christmas": A live reading of seasonal favorites will begin at 9 p.m. at Village Lights Bookstore. The readings will be broadcast on WORX 96.7.

Zumba!: Will be held at 5:15 p.m. at the Carroll County Public Library.
