Hagar's Children: Hanover College Theatre will present "Hagar's Children," a different kind of Christmas play with music, about unconditional love. Performances are Dec. 6-8 in Park Auditorium with curtain time at 7:30 p.m. each night with a Saturday matinee at 2 p.m. Tickers are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors 65 and older, and $5 for youth. Your Metabolism and Christmas Dinner: Faith Kutnicki will discuss what the cells in the body are doing during the holiday season at 1 p.m. at the Carroll County Public Library.

Zumba!: Will be held at 5:15 p.m. at the Carroll County Public Library.

Make-It and Take-It Crafts: Will be held for families with children at Kathryn Winn Elementary School from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Family Ties Resource Center.

Animal Shelter Advisory Board: The Advisory Board for the Madison-Jefferson County Animal Shelter will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the county commissioner's chamber in the Jefferson County Courthouse. The public is welcome.

Jefferson County Retired Teachers: Will meet at 11:30 at The Pines with the meal at noon. Local dues of $5 for members, $3 for spouses or associated members will be collected. Members should bring volunteer hours and separate hours of volunteer work with children. The program will be presented from Nicole LeGrand with musical entertainment from a group of students from E.O. Muncie Elementary.

Computer Basics Q & A: A question and answer session for basic computer questions will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at the Carroll County Public Library. Participants are welcome to bring their own laptops.

BetterTogether Nonprofit Luncheon Series: Will discuss the keys to volunteer management with June Miller, regional director of the Indiana Nonprofit Resource Network from 11:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Ivy Tech Community College. Red Hatters of Madison: Will meet at 11:30 a.m. at Key West Shrimp House, 117 Ferry St. All Red Hatters and guests are welcome.

Senior Dance: Will be held Friday by the Madison Parks Department at the Brown Gym featuring the music of Charlie Humphrey. The doors open at 5 p.m. Music begins at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $3 and includes snacks, drinks and door prizes.

Light Up Bedford: Will kick off at 5:45 p.m. at the Trimble County Courthouse. Milton elementary school students will sing before the lighting. A parade with the Bedford Volunteer Fire Department will usher Santa Claus from the courthouse to the Morgan Community Center for a chili dinner sponsored by the Bedford Rotary Club and musical entertainment by the Bedford Elementary School and Trimble County Middle School bands.
