Spoofydoofs' Funnybone: The Little Grand Theatre Company will present Spoofydoofs' Funnybone Jan. 25-27 at 7 p.m., with an additional showing Jan. 26 at 2:30 p.m. at The Ohio Theatre. Tickets cost $8 for adults and $5 for children.
Walking: The Brown Gym will be open for walking from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information call (812) 265-8308.
Martin Luther King Day Program: Trinity United Methodist Church will host a Martin Luther King program from noon until 1 p.m. The speaker will be Rev. Ron Norris. A light lunch will follow the service with a limited number of to-go lunches available for those who must return to work.
Marade: As part of Hanover College's Martin Luther King Jr. Week the college will host a marade starting at 3 p.m. in the J. Graham Brown Campus Center lobby.
Belly Dance for Fitness: Will be held at 5:15 p.m. at the Carroll County Public Library.
Mother Goose on the Loose: Storytime for babies and toddlers age 6 to 35 months and a caregiver will be held Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. at the Jefferson County Public Library Madison Branch from Jan. 15-Feb. 12. Registration is required. Call (812) 265-2744.
911 Communications Administrative Board of Jefferson County: Will meet on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 4:15 p.m. at Madison City Hall. For more information call (812) 273-3313.
Poetry Slam: As part of Hanover College's Martin Luther King Jr. Week the college will host a poetry slam at 7 p.m. in the Haq Center on campus.
MLK Art Show: As part of Hanover College's Martin Luther King Jr. Week the college will host a a Martin Luther King Art Show in the lobby of the J. Graham Brown Campus Center on the Hanover College Campus.
Preschool Story Time: Storytime for children ages 3 to 6 will be held Wednesdays at 10 a.m. at the Jefferson County Public Library Madison Branch from Jan. 16-Feb. 13. Registration is required. Call (812) 265-2744.
Zumba: Will meet at 5:15 p.m. at the Carroll County Public Library.
Madison Chamber and Economic Development Dinner: Will be held at the Brown Campus Center on the Hanover College Campus with a cocktail reception from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and the dinner and meeting from 7:15 to 9 p.m.
Moving for Better Health: The free senior exercise class will meet from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursdays at the Lide White Boys and Girls Club/Family and Community Center. For more information call (812) 273-1072.
Reds Caravan: Will stop at the Historic Hoosier Theater from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. The tour will include broadcaster Thom Brennaman, chief operating officer Phil Castellini, baseball operations president Walt Jockety, veteran catcher Corky Miller, outfielder Jay Bruce and minor leaguer Ryan LaMarre. The group will be available to answer questions and sign autographs. It is free and open to the public.
Craft Time: Craft time for children ages 10 and under will be held at 6 p.m. Thursdays at the Jefferson County Public Library Madison Branch from Jan. 17 to Feb. 21. Some crafts may be messy. The event will not be held Feb. 14. For more information call (812) 265-2744.
Race in Your Face: The event will be held as part of Hanover College's Martin Luther King Jr. Week celebrations at 6:30 p.m. in Donner Hall on campus.
Friday Crafts: Will be held from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Carroll County Public Library.
Habitat for Humanity Dinner Auction: The Jefferson County Habitat for Humanity Dinner Auction will be held at 6 p.m. at The Livery Stable. For more information or to purchase tickets call (812) 265-9697.
Senior Dance: Will be held Friday by the Madison Parks Department at the Brown Gym featuring the music of the Canyon River Band. The doors open at 5 p.m. Music begins at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $3.50 per person.
Friday Night Music: The Carroll County Public Library will host Dennis Wheeler and Tom Dees at 6 p.m.
DIY Spa Day: Find out how to make treats for winter skin in this do-it-yourself class from 10 a.m. to noon at the Carroll County Public Library. There is a materials fee of $5 for the class. Registration is requested by calling (502) 732-7020.
Court Street Cinemas: The Carroll County Public Library will show "Ice Age 4 - Continental Drift" at 2 p.m. The film is rated PG.
Gospel Explosion: As part of Hanover College's Martin Luther King Jr. Week the college will host a gospel concert beginning at 4 p.m. in the Lynn Center for Fine Arts on campus.
Senior Dance: Will host the Prairie Ridge Band Saturday from 5:15 to 9:30 p.m. at the Lide White Boys and Girls Club. A cake walk will be held. Doors open at 5:15 p.m. The band will perform from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Admission is $5. For more information call (812) 599-0848 or (812) 274-0338.

Court Street Cinemas: The Carroll County Public Library will show "The Words" at 6 p.m. The film stars Bradley Cooper, Dennis Quaid and Olivia Wilde. It is rated PG13.
Jefferson County Board of Health: Will meet at 6 p.m. in the board room at the Jefferson County Health Department, 715 Green Road.
Historic District Board of Review: Will meet at 6:30 p.m. in Madison City Hall. The filing deadline for applications to be considered is Jan. 9.
Lexington Historical Society: Will meet at 7 p.m. at Lexington Christian Church. Local artist Dorrel Harrison will be speak on his work and replicas of barns. All are welcome. The location is accessible.
The Friday Night Dances held at the Brown Gym has a time change beginning the first Friday in February. The doors open at 5:00 pm with the bands begin playing at 6:00 pm. If you would please change the times on your releases for the paper we would greatly appreciate it. Everything else is the same.
