The World Comes to Madison: The Seifert-Short Museum and Learning Center, 113 E. Third St., will display nativities and crèches from around the world during the holiday season. The museum will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays in December and January. Free admission.
Spoofydoofs' Funnybone: The Little Grand Theatre Company will present Spoofydoofs' Funnybone Jan. 25-27 at 7 p.m., with an additional showing Jan. 26 at 2:30 p.m. at The Ohio Theatre. Tickets cost $8 for adults and $5 for children.
Computer Help: The Carroll County Public Library offers walk-in computer help and tutoring Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. Call (502) 732-7020 and ask for Sheila or email email@example.com to set up an appointment.

Habitat for Humanity Dinner Auction: The Jefferson County Habitat for Humanity Dinner Auction will be held at 6 p.m. at The Livery Stable. For more information or to purchase tickets call (812) 265-9697.
Senior Dance: Will be held Friday by the Madison Parks Department at the Brown Gym featuring the music of the Canyon River Band. The doors open at 5 p.m. Music begins at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $3.50 per person.
Friday Night Music: The Carroll County Public Library will host Dennis Wheeler and Tom Dees at 6 p.m.
DIY Spa Day: Find out how to make treats for winter skin in this do-it-yourself class from 10 a.m. to noon at the Carroll County Public Library. There is a materials fee of $5 for the class. Registration is requested by calling (502) 732-7020.
Power Point Class: The Trimble County Public Library will host a power point class from 10 a.m. to noon to teach the basics of Microsoft Power Point. For more information or to register call (502) 255-7362.
Court Street Cinemas: The Carroll County Public Library will show "Ice Age 4 - Continental Drift" at 2 p.m. The film is rated PG.
Gospel Explosion: As part of Hanover College's Martin Luther King Jr. Week the college will host a gospel concert beginning at 4 p.m. in the Lynn Center for Fine Arts on campus.
Senior Dance: Will host the Prairie Ridge Band Saturday from 5:15 to 9:30 p.m. at the Lide White Boys and Girls Club. A cake walk will be held. Doors open at 5:15 p.m. The band will perform from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Admission is $5. For more information call (812) 599-0848 or (812) 274-0338.
Shock Treatment: Will perform Jan. 26 with Down 4 Peace opening at 9 p.m. at JoeyG's Restaurant and Nightclub. The event is a fundraiser for King's Daughters' Health Hospice.

Planning the Four Seasons of Your Garden: The Jefferson County Public Library Madison Branch will host Master Gardeners Stephanie Spicer and Mary Kraft at 6 p.m. Spicer will discuss vegetables, tips for success, seed saving and seed starting. Kraft will discuss the merits and types of seed catalogs as well as proper pruning procedures. The program is free and open to the public. For more information or to register call (812) 265-2744.
Jefferson County Board of Health: Will meet at 6 p.m. in the board room at the Jefferson County Health Department, 715 Green Road.
Historic District Board of Review: Will meet at 6:30 p.m. in Madison City Hall. The filing deadline for applications to be considered is Jan. 9.
Jefferson County Movie Club: The Jefferson County Public Library Madison Branch will discuss the film "What's Eating Gilbert Grape," at 6:30 p.m. Copies of the film are available at the circulation desks at both Madison and Hanover branches. Free popcorn will be served.
Lexington Historical Society: Will meet at 7 p.m. at Lexington Christian Church. Local artist Dorrel Harrison will be speak on his work and replicas of barns. All are welcome. The location is accessible.
Mother Goose on the Loose: Storytime for babies and toddlers age 6 to 35 months and a caregiver will be held Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. at the Jefferson County Public Library Madison Branch from Jan. 15-Feb. 12. Registration is required. Call (812) 265-2744.
Ribbon Cutting: A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the ISU Insurance and Investment Group, 104 Miles Ridge Road.
Wonder - The Lives of Anna and Harlan Hubbard: The Trimble County Public Library will host two showings of "Wonder: The Lives of Anna and Harlan Hubbard." Producer and writer Morgan Atkinson will present the documentary at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Preschool Story Time: Storytime for children ages 3 to 6 will be held Wednesdays at 10 a.m. at the Jefferson County Public Library Madison Branch Jan. 16-Feb. 13. Registration is required. Call (812) 265-2744.
Work It Wednesday: The monthly business networking lunch for the Madison Chamber of Commerce will be held at noon at the chamber, 301 E. Main St. A light lunch is included. The event is free for chamber members and $4 for non-members.
