Switzerland County 4-H Fair: Will be held July 13-20 at the Switzerland County 4-H Fairgrounds. There is no gate fee. Grandstand events begin Monday and feature a greased pig contest, truck and ATV drags, a mud run and a truck and tractor pull. For more information cal (812) 427-3152.

Summer Theatre Workshop: The Madison Community Players will present their annual summer theater workshop from 9 to 11 a.m. July 22 to Aug. 2 at the Brown Gym. Shooting Sports Show: Will be held at 9 A.m. at the Switzerland County Fairgrounds.

Computer Basics for Seniors: The Carroll County Public Library will offer computer basics for seniors from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Seniors are welcome to bring their own laptop or use one owned by the library.

Dairy Show: Will be held at 1 p.m. at the Switzerland County Fairgrounds.

Sheep Show: Will be held at 2:30 p.m. at the Switzerland County Fairgrounds.

Senior Dance: Will be held Friday by the Madison Parks Department at the Brown Gym featuring the music of the Gary Hewitt and the Honky Tonk Band. The doors open at 5 p.m. Music begins at 6 p.m. Admission is $3.50 per person.

Truck and Tractor Pull: The sanctioned event will begin at 7 p.m. at the Switzerland County Fairgrounds.

July 20

Garden Club: Will host an introduction to flower arranging at 10 a.m. at the Carroll County Public Library. All materials are provided for a $5 fee. The program is for adults and children with an adult helper.

Meet the Author - Michael Henson: Cincinnati author Michael Henson will sign and read from his nely released book, "Tommy Perdue" from 1 to 3 p.m. July 20 at Village Lights Bookstore.

Magic Tournament: Will be held at the Carroll County Public Library from 1 to 4 p.m.

Auction Barbeque: Will be held at 3 p.m. at the Switzerland County Fairgrounds, followed by the 4-H Livestock Auction at 4 p.m.

O Madison Where Art Thou?: River Run Theatre Company and the Cultural Continuum will present a musical event July 20 at Eleutherian College featuring live music from " O Brother, Where Art Thou?" Tours and refreshments begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by the show at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $5. Seating is limited. For more information visit www.culturalcontinuum.org.

Ulster Project Dinner Auction: Will be held at Old Market on Main. Doors open at 6 p.m. The event will include a cocktail hour, dinner and auction featuring handmade crafts and items from local businesses and Northern Ireland. Dinner will be provided by the Red Pepper. Entertainment will be provided by the 2013 Ulster Project teens. Tickets are $15 per person or $100 per table.
