Pep Walks: King's Daughters' Health will host weekly walks on Thursdays from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., June 5 through Aug. 28, except for July 3. The walks start and finish at the KDH/Trilogy Health parking garage on Broadway. All ages and fitness levels are welcome. Walkers are encouraged to walk by themselves or with a group at their own pace. Downtown walking maps will be provided for various 1 to 4-mile courses. Cold water will be provided. Food Drive: The Salvation Army will hold a food drive in July. All canned and non-perishable food items will be accepted at the Madison Precision Products and at the Jefferson Federal Credit Union. For more information call (812) 265-2157.
Jefferson County House of Hope: Will provide free food and supplies to residents of Jefferson County who are in need. A household may visit once every 30 days. Guests will be served from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and from 9 a.m. to noon Fridays. The clearinghouse is located at 100 E. Second St. The entrance is located off First St., at the rear of the building.
