Fourth Monday Book Group: Will discuss "The Hundred-Foot Journey" by Richard C. Morais at noon at the Carroll County Public Library. Copies are available at the library desk.

Movie Monday: The Jefferson County Public Library Madison branch will host a screening of "Monsters University" at 2 p.m. The film is rated G. Snacks will be provided.

Old Glory 101: Learn all about the American Flag from 2 to 4:30 p.m at the Madison Visitors Center as part of the Staycation schedule. The event is free and open to the public. The class covers flag history and etiquette, and learning how to fold a flag in the military style. All attendees go home with free souvenirs and a certificate of completion. The informal learning session is led by members of the Jefferson County Republican Women's Club and Madison Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1969

Carrollton City Council: Will meet on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 7 p.m. in council chambers at Carrollton City Hall.

Lexington Historical Society: Will meet at 7 p.m. at Lexington Christian Church. Joe Oberfell will lead a presentation on the history of the first Catholic church in Scott County. The Mother of God Church was located in Lexington on the site of the current post office. The location is wheelchair accessible.

March 25

Carroll County Fiscal Court: Will meet at 9 a.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month in the Fiscal Court on the second floor of the Carroll County Courthouse.

Senior Community Service Employment Program: The program will accept applications from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at WorkOne Madison, 620 Green Road. Applicants must be age 55 or older, unemployed, live in Jefferson County and have a total income less than $14,588 per year or less for a family of one, $19,663 for a family of two. Blood Drive: The Jefferson County Chapter of the American Red Cross will host a blood drive from noon to 5 p.m. in Oak Room 5 and 6 at the King's Daughters' Hospital. Art Opening Reception - Jane Andreasen: Madison native and Earlham College graduate Jane Andreasen will present, "Sacra Systemata," a series of works in mixed-media and pencil, utilizing anatomical illustration and iconographic imagery, at Village Lights Bookstore. The opening reception will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. The exhibit will run through May 20.

Senior Dance: Will be held Friday by the Madison Parks Department at the Brown Gym featuring the music of Steel Country. The doors open at 5 p.m. Music begins at 6 p.m. Admission is $3.50 per person.

Fourth Friday: Will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. in downtown Madison with free trolley rides and extended hours for businesses. The theme is "Madness in March."
