Senior Nutritional Meals: LifeTime Resources offers meals for seniors Monday through Friday at 11:30 a.m. at the Jefferson County Senior Citizens Center, 208 W. Main St. Meals are not served on holidays.

Depression Support Group: A spiritually-based depression support group will meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 1429 Clifty Drive. CCPL Board Meeting: The Carroll County Public Library Board will meet at noon at the library.

Friday Crafts: Will be held from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Carroll County Public Library.

Senior Dance: Will be held Friday by the Madison Parks Department at the Brown Gym featuring the music of Tommy Day and Cool Country. The doors open at 5 p.m. Music begins at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $3 and includes snacks, drinks and door prizes.

Hanover College Jazz Band: David Mruzek will direct the musical performance featuring Hanover College students at 7 p.m. in the Brown Campus Center. The one-hour program is free and open to the public.

Hanover Students Literary Reading: Students from Hanover College will read their original poetry and prose from 7 to 9 p.m. at Village Lights Bookstore. Refreshments will be provided.

Deer Hunter Breakfast: The Madison Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1969, 3100 Michigan Road, will host a breakfast for deer hunters starting at 4 a.m. The buffet meal is $7 per person.

Court Street Cinemas: Will feature "Brave" at 2 p.m. at the Carroll County Public Library. The film is rated PG.

The Borderlands Project: Indiana State Poet Laureate Karen Kovacik will produce a series of four public readings, one on each state border, entitled The Borderlands Project. The events will bring together Indiana poets with writers from neighboring states to share poems about immigration, migration, borders and home. The first reading will be held at The Ohio Theatre from 4 to 5 p.m. and will highlight poets from Kentucky and Indiana, including several from Madison and Hanover. The readings are free and open to all.

Annual Thanksgiving Meal: Will be held for the sick, house-bound and the needy. Meals will be delivered from Pope John Elementary School at approximately 4:30 p.m. Call (812) 265-4166 to sign-up or for more information. This meal serves as the annual End of Month Meal.

November 22

Thanksgiving Day Meal: Southwestern High School will host a Thanksgiving Day meal open to the public from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cafeteria cooks will prepare the meal, though the school encourages those who plan to attend to bring dishes for the dinner.

Thanksgiving Day Meal: The Salvation Army will host the annual Thanksgiving Day meal from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Non-perishable food donations will be accepted for the organization's regular meals and food pantry.

Black Friday Craft Day: Learn to make a gift bags from new or recycled materials from 10 a.m. to noon at the Carroll County Public Library. Patterns in several sizes are available. The craft project is open to teens, adults and children with an adult helper.
