A Collection of Short Plays: The Little Grand Theatre Company will present a collection of three plays, "Carla and the Greedy Merchant," by Robert Scotellaro; "The Fairy Godmother's Assistant," by Bruce Lansky; and "Dorothy Meets Alice or the Wizard of Oz," by Joseph Robinette. Local youth in grades three through eleven will perform at 7 p.m. Nov. 8 and at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 9 and Nov. 10 at The Ohio Theatre. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children. Senior Dance: Will be held Friday by the Madison Parks Department at the Brown Gym featuring the music of Tommy Day and Cool Country. The doors open at 5 p.m. Music begins at 6 p.m. Admission is $3.50 per person.

Steve David Retirement Party: Miss Madison Inc. will give hydroplane fans a chance to wish a happy retirement to driver Steve David from 7 to 9 p.m. at Boneyard Grill. The event is open to anyone who wants to congratulate David on his retirement after 13 years as the driver of the Oh Boy! Oberto sponsored Miss Madison. Admission is free. Fall Cemetery Driving Tour: The Jefferson County Historical Society will partner with the Jefferson County Genealogical Society for a cemetery driving tour through the county. The tour will start at 10 a.m. at JCHS, 615 W. First St., to form a carpool. The tour is expected to last until 3 p.m. The tour will include: Maddox, White River, Slippery Point, College Hill Lancaster and Underwood. Teen Game Day: Will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Carroll County Public Library.
High Tea: The Jen-Era-Jeff Chapter 44 of the Order of Eastern Star will host a high tea from 3 to 5 p.m. at Venture Out Business Center. Tickets are $25. Proceeds will go towards community projects. Behind the Scenes Tour: Take a behind the scenes tour of the Lanier Mansion on the second Saturday of the month at 4 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors over 60 and $5 for children. The tours, which are limited to 15 people, include the basement, cupola, East wing and information not included on the standard tour. Reservations are required. Veterans Day Program: Prince of Peace Catholic Schools will host the annual Veterans Day program at 12:30 p.m. in the Shawe Memorial Junior-Senior High School gymnasium. All veterans and community guests are welcome. The program is expected to conclude at 1:30 p.m.
Veterans Day Program: Southwestern High School will host a Veterans Day program at 1 p.m. The program will be preceded by a lunch for veterans at noon in the high school cafeteria. The school's National Honor Society and the elementary school's student council planned the event.

Veterans Day Program: Trimble County High School will host a Veterans Day program from 2:30 to 3:05 p.m. The program will recognize veterans and feature a veteran guest speaker and Representative Rick Rand.
World War II Veteran's Day Presentation: Trinity United Methodist Church, 412 W. Main St., will host veteran Bob Binzer at 5 p.m. Binzer, a World War II pilot, will share his experiences flying C47s over the Himalayan Mountains. The event will also include food and live music from the era. Donations will be accepted. Proceeds will go towards the purchase of a new sound system.
KDH Cancer Center Groundbreaking: King's Daughters' Health will hold a ground-breaking ceremony for the Cancer Treatment Center at 5 p.m. at the hilltop campus, 1373 E. State Road 62.
Jefferson County Republican Women: Will meet at 6 p.m. on the second Monday of the month at Franco's. All Republican women are welcome. The guest speaker will be a veteran of the Vietnam and Gulf wars.
