Haunted Mystery Trolley Tour: Will be held Oct. 19 and 20 with tours each night at 7 and 8:30 p.m. The ride will take guests on an hour tour of downtown and to one of the city's cemeteries. Tours are $15 for adults and $10 for children age 10 and younger. Reservations can be made by calling (812) 701-4013.

Haunted Hayrides: The Deputy Volunteer Fire Department will host their annual haunted hayride fundraiser Oct. 19-20 and Oct. 26-27. Events will begin at 4 p.m. with a fish fry and popcorn sales. Rides start at 8 p.m. Cub Scouts will host a costume contest at 7 p.m., and there will be other festivities throughout the night. Glow sticks will be on sale. Hayride ticket sales begin at 6 p.m. with the first ride leaving at dark. Tickets cost $4 for adults and $3 for children ages 12 and younger.

Trail of Screams: Will be open Oct. 19-20 and Oct. 26-27 at Milton Fire and Rescue Station 2, 35 Volunteer Drive. The maze features nearly a mile of twists, turns and dead-ends, and haunters. The corn maze will open at 5 p.m., but no haunters will be inside the maze until dark for anyone who wants to visit before the haunting begins. Admission is $5 per person, with proceeds supporting the Milton Fire and Rescue Department.

Vevay Ghost Tours: The Historic Hoosier Theater and the Switzerland County Historical Society will host walking ghost tours Oct. 19, 20 and 26. Tours start at 7 p.m. rain or shine. Tickets are $25 per person. Tour guides encourage those on the tour to bring their ghost hunting equipment, flashlights and cameras along and take advantage of the opportunity to gain access to these places. CAC Fall Festival: The Christian Academy of Carrollton will host a fall festival from 3:30 to 8 p.m. at the National Guard Armory in Carrollton, Ky. with a chili supper, funnel cakes, live gospel and bluegrass music, booth games, silent auctions and cake walks.

Senior Dance: Will be held Friday by the Madison Parks Department at the Brown Gym featuring the music of Tommy Day and Cool Country. The doors open at 5 p.m. Music begins at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $3 and includes snacks, drinks and door prizes.

Night Spirits: Costumed actors will portray "spirits" in the dimly lit rooms of the Lanier Mansion, telling tales from their lives and deaths at 7 p.m. Groups of 15 will depart from the Lanier Mansion/Madison Visitors Center at 15-minute intervals. Admission is $10 per person. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling (812) 273-0556.

Sip N' Knit: Will meet from 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays at Harriette's Knit Knook, 103 E. Main St. All types of stitchery are welcome.

Heritage Center Free Admission Day: Will be held from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for the Heritage Center and Railroad Museum at the Jefferson County Historical Society, 615 W. First St. The event is sponsored by the Jefferson Proving Ground Heritage Partnership and Historic Hoosier Hills.

Paint a Pumpkin: The Carroll County Public Library will host a pumpkin painting event at 10:30 a.m. for all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult helper. To sign-up or for more information call (502) 732-7020.

Toys for Tots Annual Toy Run: Will be held with registration from 11 a.m. to noon. The ride departs from the Sunset Grill in Warsaw, Ky. at 12:30 p.m. Food will be provided by the Sunset Grill following the ride. Obama's America: The Madison Tea Party will sponsor a free showing of "Obama's America" at noon at the Ohio Theatre.

Karaoke for a Cure: Madison Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1969, 3100 Michigan Road, will host the River Valley Financial Relay for Life Halloween fundraiser from 6 to 10 p.m. Admission is $5 and those attending must be age 18 or older. The event will also feature a costume contest and auction.

Historic Madison Architectural Tours: Will be held on the third Saturday of the month. Tours start at 10 a.m. at the Broadway Fountain. The tour lasts approximately 2 hours and is free to the public. Reservations are not required. For more information call (812) 265-2967.

Fall Choral Concert: Hanover College will host its first musical performance of the season Sunday. The Hanover College Concert Choir and Chamber Singers will perform at Fitzgibbon Recital Hall in the Center for Fine Arts at 2 p.m. The performance is expected to last about an hour. Admission is free. Madlen Batchvarova is the director of the performance.
