Shawe Theater: The Shawe Memorial High School Theater Department will present "Alibis," a mystery-comedy by Peter Kennedy, and the junior high will perform "Escape," a 10-minute play by Michael Callahan. Productions will be Oct. 26 and 27 at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 28 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students.
'Catholic Girl Gun Club': Hanover College will present the "Catholic Girl Gun Club" at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 26-28. Tickets cost $12 for adults, $10 for seniors 65 and older and $5 for youth in high school and younger. To purchase tickets or for more information call (812) 866-7110.
GED Help: Will be offered at 3:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Carroll County Public Library.

Depression Support Group: A spiritually-based depression support group will meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 1429 Clifty Drive. The program is facilitated by Jackie Osinski. The class is split into times for teaching, open discussion and prayer. For more information call (502) 468-6316.
Senior Dance: Will be held Friday by the Madison Parks Department at the Brown Gym featuring the music of the Canyon River Band. The doors open at 5 p.m. Music begins at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $3 and includes snacks, drinks and door prizes.
Southwestern Elementary Pumpkin Palooza: Southwestern Elementary School's PTO will host a chili supper from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. with free admission. Those attending are encouraged to wear a costume. Trick-or-treat will be held in the school from 6 to 7 p.m.
Fourth Friday: Main Street will host musicians and artists during the October "Festive Fall" Fourth Friday Art Jam. Shops, restaurants and local art galleries will open extended hours and musicians will perform on the sidewalks of Main Street.
Poetry Nights: Will be held at 7 p.m. at Village Lights Bookstore. Open mic, open sign-up. All are invited to read their own work or that of a favorite poet. The emcee for the event is Jill Kelly Koren.
Robin and Linda Williams: Hanover College Community Arts Series will present Robin and Linda Williams Oct. 26 at 7:30 p.m. in Fitzgibbon Recital Hall Lynn Center for Fine Arts. Tickets for adults are $18 in advance, $20 at the door. Tickets are $15 for seniors and $5 for youth in high school or younger.
Sip N' Knit: Will meet from 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays at Harriette's Knit Knook, 103 E. Main St. All types of stitchery are welcome.
