Salvation Army Christmas Assistance: Sign-up for the Angel Tree program and other holiday assistance will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Oct. 30-Nov. 1 at the Salvation Army, 331 E. Main St. For more information call (812) 265-2157 or visit www.samadison.org.
Computer Help: The Carroll County Public Library offers walk-in computer help and tutoring Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. Call (502) 732-7020 and ask for Sheila or email email@example.com to set up an appointment.
Al-Anon Family Group: Will meet at 7 p.m. Fridays at Madison Presbyterian Church, 202 Broadway. For more information call (812) 493-3848.
Orchard Support Group: A support group for pregnant mothers, new mothers and mothers of older children who are battling addiction will meet from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursdays at the King's Daughters' Hospital.
Support Group: Will meet every Thursday at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 1429 Clifty Drive, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The spiritually-based group supports those struggling with depression, fear, anxiety, suicidal thoughts and grief. For more information call (502) 468-6316.
Senior Citizens: The Madison Senior Center, 208 W. Main St., hosts activities during the week including euchre at noon on Monday and Thursday, and bingo at 10 a.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. The center also has a pool table, Wii, and dominoes. Lunch is available each day, but those interested must sign-up the day prior. For more information call (812) 265-4758.

CCPL Library Board: Will meet at noon at the Carroll County Public Library.
Fourth Monday Book Group: Will meet at noon at the Carroll County Public Library to discuss Jojo Moyes' "Me Before You."
Trunk or Treat: Milton Elementary School will host Trunk or Treat from 5 to 7 p.m.
Historic District Board of Review: Will meet at 5:30 p.m. in Madison City Hall. The filing deadline for applications to be considered is Oct. 2.
Court Street Cinemas: Will screen "The Way Way Back" at 6 p.m. at the Carroll County Public Library. The film is rated PG13.
Jefferson County Board of Health: Will meet at 6 p.m. in the board room at the Jefferson County Health Department, 715 Green Road.
Women's Health Night: Scott Memorial Hospital will host a women's health night at 6 p.m. with LifePoint Hospital's John Bumpus speaking on, "The five unspoken things we ask for in every relationship." Lexington Historical Society: Will meet at 7 p.m. at Lexington Christian Church. Cecil Smith, Washington County historian, will be the guest speaker on the history of trains in the county. Trick-Or-Treat: Will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. in Vevay.
B4K Club: Will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesdays at the Carroll County Public Library. The group was formerly known as Toddler Time.
Alzheimer's Support Group: Will meet at 7 p.m. at Hanover Health and Rehabilitation Center in the continuing education area in Wing 1. The free meeting offers an educational program and light refreshments. For more information call (812) 866-2625.
CAFFE: Carrollton Area Families for Education will meet at 1 p.m. at the Carroll County Public Library.
Lego Mania: Will be held at 3:30 p.m. at the Carroll County Public Library.
Moving for Better Health: The free senior exercise class will meet from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursdays at the Lide White Boys and Girls Club/Family and Community Center. For more information call (812) 273-1072.
Music Makers: Will meet at 11 a.m. Thursdays at the Carroll County Public Library.
Trick-or-Treat with the Band:Meet the Southwestern March Band from 5 to 5:30 p.m. in the soccer field behind the high school. There will be a short performance followed by band members handing out candy. The event is free. In case of rain the event will be moved inside the school.
Trick-Or-Treat: Will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in Carroll County and from 6 to 8 p.m. in Madison, Hanover and Trimble County.
Red, White and Boo: Will be hosted by the City of Madison from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Broadway Fountain with treat bags, games, candy and a costume contest at 7 p.m. In case of inclement weather the event will be moved inside the Brown Gym.
Red Hatters of Madison: Will meet at 11:30 a.m. at Bob Evans, 519 E. Clifty Drive. All Red Hatters and guests are welcome. For more information call (812) 265-4433.
Fish Fry: Kent Volunteer Fire Company will host a fish fry from 4 to 8 p.m. Proceeds will go to the Greg Cloud Memorial Scholarship.
Senior Dance: Will be held Friday by the Madison Parks Department at the Brown Gym featuring the music of Charlie Humphrey. The doors open at 5 p.m. Music begins at 6 p.m. Admission is $3.50 per person.
Jefferson County Historical Society Annual Dinner: Will be held at the museum, 615 W. First St., with new exhibits and renovations on display. The social hour begins at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 7, a story teller and silent auction. Tickets are $25 per person. For more information or to reserve a seat call (812) 265-2335 by Oct. 29.
Pumpkins, Gourds and Squash - Vevay First Friday: The Switzerland County Visitors Center will feature pumpkin bowling for adults and youth from 6 to 9 p.m. on Liberty St. during Vevay's First Friday.
