Carroll County Tobacco Festival: Will be held Oct. 3-5 in downtown Carrollton with pageants, agritourism, a silent auction, live music, parade, vendors, games, carnival, petting zoo, tobacco judging, kids games, cloggers and square dancers, and the fourth annual FFA Auction. Life Below the Waterline: The traveling freshwater aquarium from the Ohio River Valley Water Sanitation Commission will be on display Oct. 4-6 at Paul Ogle Park on Vevay's riverfront.
The Crucible: Madison Consolidated High School's Theatre Department will present Arthur Miller's "The Crucible" at 7 p.m. Oct. 4 and Oct. 5 and at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 6. The show is rated PG13. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students.

Milton Trail of Screams: Milton Fire and Rescue will present their annual cornmaze from 5 p.m. to midnight, Fridays and Saturdays during October. The trail will be "unhaunted" from 5 p.m. until dark for younger children. Admission is $5.
Antique Tractor Show: The Antique Tractor Club of Switzerland County will host a tractor show from 9 a.m .to 5 p.m. Oct. 5 and from noon to 4 p.m. Oct. 6 at Paul Ogle Park in Vevay. A tractor pull will also be held Saturday at the Switzerland County 4-H Fairgrounds. The event is part of Switzerland County's bicentennial celebration.
Marilyn Keiser: The Madison Performing Arts Foundation kicks off its 2013-2014 season with a concert from organist Marilyn Keiser at 7 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church. Admission is free, but donations are welcome.
Senior Dance: Will be held Friday by the Madison Parks Department at the Brown Gym featuring the music of Charlie Humphrey. It is pitch-in night and those attending are asked to bring a dish to share. Meat will be provided. The doors open at 5 p.m. Music begins at 6 p.m. Admission is $3.50 per person.
The Stripping Room: The Historic Hoosier Theatre in Vevay will present an encore presentation of "The Stripping Room" at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10. For more information call (812) 427-3237.

Pancake Breakfast: The Hanover Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons 652 will host a pancake, waffle, egg, sausage and bacon breakfast from 6 to 10:30 a.m. at 240 W. Main St., Hanover. Freewill donations will be accepted.
Barber Grocery Annual Breakfast: Will be held from 7 to 9 a.m. at Frisch's Big Boy, 460 Clifty Drive.
Vevay Art Tour: Will be held in Vevay from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Maps will be available at the tourism office, museum and at the Switzerland County Library. Haskell & Morrison will host a display of 30 original paintings by William McKendree Snyder. For more information call (812) 427-3363.
Chautauqua: Experience the entertainment and culture of an old-fashioned tent Chautauqua at 2 p.m. on the grounds of the Switzerland County Historical Society grounds, 208 E. Main St., Vevay. The event will feature the "return" of William Jennings Bryan, who spoke in Vevay in 1917.
Auditions: Will be held for the upcoming Madison Community Players production of "Dashing Through the Snow" from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Madison Area Chamber of Commerce conference room, 301 E. Main St.
11th Annual Riley Memorial Air Show and Fly In: Will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Madison Municipal Airport, 3919 W. Ims Lane, with an air show at noon, concessions from the Milton Fire Dept., military plane display, and demonstrations by Bob Richards, Emerson Stewart and Cliff Robinson. Admission is by donation. Cast Iron Chef: Working in teams of three, contestants wil cook using only cast iron pots and pans over an open fire or charcoal grill. At least one dish must be prepared in dutch oven. Cooking starts at noon on Paul Ogle Park on the Vevay riverfront. CAM Cruise-In: The CAM Car Club will host a cruise-in from 5 to 8 p.m. at River Valley Financial Bank, 430 Clifty Drive, with door prizes and giveaways.
Class of 1963 Reunion: The Carrollton High School class of 1963 will hold a reunion from 6 to 11 p.m. for 1963 classmates and teachers, coaches and administrators from 1960-1963 at the General Butler State Park Conference Center. Pope John Bazaar: Will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the school with games, a hay ride, pony rides, inflatable slide, barrel train ride, bake sale, book sale, yard sale, country store and food booth. A friend chicken lunch will be hserved from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The meal is $8 for adults, $5 for children. A raffle drawing will be held at 3 p.m.
Barnes Family Reunion: Will be held at the Bedford Community Center with a pitch-in meal at 12:30 p.m. All family members and friends are welcome.
