Friends of the Library Book Sale: Will be held Sept. 26-29 in the Jefferson County Public Library Madison Branch auditorium, 420 W. Main St. The public sale will be open Friday from 2 to 7 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.

Bob - The Painter in the Window: Madison artist Bob Saueressig will be painting in the window of Village Lights Bookstore Sept. 28 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sept. 29, from noon to 5 p.m.

Sharpie Tie-Dye T-Shirts: Try out a new technique for creating detailed tie-dye fabrics at 3:30 p.m. at the Carroll County Public Library. Supplies will be provided. Senior Dance: Will be held Friday by the Madison Parks Department at Jefferson Post 9 of the American Legion, 707 Jefferson Street, featuring the music of the Canyon River Band. The doors open at 5 p.m. Music begins at 6 p.m. Admission is $3.50 per person.

Fourth Friday: Musicians will perform, local businesses will offer extended hours, art will be on display and the Madison Trolley will give free rides from 5 to 8 p.m. in downtown Madison.

Shop With a Cop Trail Ride: Will start at 10 a.m. The ride is hosted by the Carrollton Police, Carroll County Sheriff and Carroll County Jailer. Entry is a donation of $15 per adult; $5 for each child under age 12. A meal will be served at 6 p.m. along with a prize raffle.
