The Madison Art Club is accepting submissions for the first quarterly rotation of 2017 for The Art Of Healing exhibit.
The Art Of Healing exhibit is a partnership between the art club and King’s Daughters’ Health to bring art to the walls of King’s Daughters’ Hospital. The exhibit, which hangs in the Seasons Cafe, is rotated with newly-selected artwork every three months.
Area artists are invited to submit up to three two-dimensional, framed pieces of original artwork, including photography, fiber art, collage and mosaic works. Artists are encouraged to submit pieces celebrating the changing of the seasons, welcoming spring and summer. There is no entry fee and membership in the art club is not required for submitting artists.
The show is juried by a three-person art selection committee. The committee chooses 21 pieces for each quarterly exhibit. Artwork submitted must not have been exhibited in prior Art Of Healing shows. However, pieces that were submitted, but not selected, can be resubmitted. Artwork in the show must be made available for sale.
Artwork submissions must be hand delivered to Art On Main, 309 W. Main St., by March 19. The exhibit will run from April 3 to July 2.
