Hammer
Hammer
Hammer, top, wants to play. He is a sweet 1 to 3-year-old that is still a puppy at heart. He is energetic and likes to romp and play. He would be good for an active family with older kids. He is a Treeing Walker Coonhound mix and does like to bark. He needs a home that will keep him indoors or with a big yard where he won't bother the neighbors. He weighs 70 pounds, but can still jump a fence if he gets a boost. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and is $45 to adopt.

Cuthbert, bottom, is a very affectionate boy that likes to be petted and receive tummy rubs. He is also very playful. He has been at the shelter for almost two months and would really like a forever home. He is a 5-month-old orange tabby with white. Adopt Cuthbert and another kitten can be adopted for 1/2 off.

The Madison-Jefferson County Animal Shelter currently has more than 17 dogs and puppies, and 20 cats and kittens available. Pictures of additional pets waiting for adoption can be seen at www.sisaveapet.com.

All cats six-months-old or older are $45 off of their adoption, rabies vaccination and spay/neuter fees. Eligible cats who are already spayed or neutered are $25 off of their adoption fees. Adopt one kitten under six-months-old and the fees for a second kitten are half off.
