Salvation Army seeking food for Christmas Eve
Thursday, December 12, 2013 10:00 AM
The Salvation Army is seeking donations of prepared food items for its annual Christmas Eve dinner. Needed items include: ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, corn, dinner rolls and pies.
The meal requires enough of each item to feed approximately 100 people.
The Salvation Army is also still searching for Angel Tree sponsors, a program that provides area children with gifts and clothing for Christmas. Unwrapped items for the program need to be purchased and returned to the Salvation Army by Friday.
For more information, to make a donation or to volunteer, call (812) 265-2157.
