Forty-five high school seniors from across the country recently participated in the Ben Franklin Scholars Program at Franklin College.

The invited high school students visited campus to interview with Franklin College faculty and received consideration for top academic scholarships.

Lauren Anderson and Kaitlin Browning from Madison Consolidated High School each received the Founders Scholarship in the four-year amount of $72,000.

The school awarded $866,340 in scholarships, for a four-year total of $3,465,360.

Lauren Smith of Madison, was selected to perform at the University of Evansville Department of Music's 34th annual Holiday Pops concert. Smith is majoring in chemistry and business administration.

Holiday Pops took place Dec. 10 in Downtown Evansville's Victory Theatre. The concert brought together ensembles and soloists, including the university's choirs, orchestra, and wind, brass, and jazz ensembles.
