Jenna Seel of Madison has been named to the dean's list of the Indiana University College of Arts and Sciences for the fall semester of the 2012-2013 school year. Students named to the dean's list have earned a minimum grade point average of 3.700 on a 4.0 scale.

Seel graduated with distinction in June. She is the daughter of Steve and Kelly Seel of Madison. She is a 2009 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School.



Two area students were among the graduates recognized at Eastern Kentucky University's May 11 commencement ceremonies.

Mary K. Moore of Milton, Ky. was awarded a post-masters specialist degree in school psychology

Megan Ann Winter of Vevay was awarded a bachelor of science degree in athletic training.



Eastern Kentucky University recently announce its president's list and dean's list for the spring semester of the 2012-2013 school year.

Local students named to the president's list earned a perfect 4.0 grade point average for the semester. They were: Karen Popp of Bedford, Ky., a senior general studies in arts and sciences major; and Megan Winter of Vevay, a senior athletic training major.

Brian Jordan Hemmer of Bedford, Ky., received the dean's award. Dean's award recipients must be named to the dean's list for a minimum of three semesters. Those named to the dean's list earned a 3.5 or higher grade point average on a 4.0 scale for the semester. Hemmer is a junior aviation major.



Butler University recently announced its dean's list for the spring semester of the 2012-2013 academic year. Local students named to the list were: Emily Armstrong of Lexington, Daniel Fisher of Madison and Kelly Melton of Dupont.



Robert Haney of Bedford, Ky. was named to the dean's list for the spring semester of the 2012-2013 school year at the Georgia Institute of Technology. This designation is awarded to undergraduate students who have a 3.0 or higher academic average on a 4.0 scale for the semester.



Natalie Ruth Owens of Deputy was named to the dean's list for the spring semester of the 2012-2013 school year at Franklin College Students named to the dean's list have achieved academic distinction by earning a 3.5 or higher grade point average on a 4.0 scale. Owens, a junior, is a 2010 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School.
