Four Madison residents were among nearly 500 students who received degrees during Taylor University's commencement exercises held on May 18, 2013.
Kristeena Bird received a bachelor of science degree in educational studies
Christian Hecox received a bachelor of arts degree in film and media production
Rex Huffman and Jessica Lee both received bachelor of arts degrees in Art.
Three local students were among 217 recipients of undergraduate degrees during Franklin College's commencement ceremony May 18, 2013.
Jenna Renee Daugherty, of Vevay, received a bachelor of arts in mathematics quantitative analysis.
Amanda Kathleen Henthorne, of Madison, received a bachelor of arts in health sciences.
Zachary David Osowski, of Patriot, received a bachelor of arts in journalism new editorial. He graduated magna cum laude.
Eastern Kentucky University recently announced its dean's list for the spring semester of the 2012-2013 school year. Local students named include:
Michael Andrew Gonterman of Carrollton, Ky., a sophomore, is a Trimble County High School graduate majoring in finance.
Jacob Allen Blair of Bedford, Ky., a junior, is a Trimble County High School graduate majoring in Journalism.
Brian Jordan Hemmer of Bedford, Ky., a junior, is a Trimble County High School graduate majoring in aviation.
Karen Denise Popp of Bedford, Ky., a senior, is majoring in general studies in arts and sciences.
Mackenzie Reed Sutherland of Bedford, Ky., a freshman, is a Trimble County High School graduate majoring in criminal justice.
Megan Ann Winter of Vevay, a senior, is a Switzerland County High School graduate majoring in athletic training.
Zoe Ashlee Mires of Madison, a sophomore, is a Madison Consolidated High School graduate majoring in pre-communication disorders.
