Allison Napier of Sanders, Ky. recently graduated from McKendree University with a master's degree in business administration.



Rhonda Gail Price of Carrollton, Ky. recently graduated from the Campbellsville University's School of Education with a bachelor of science in early childhood education. Price is a graduate of Carroll County High School. She is the daughter of Williams and Shirley Reynolds of Carrollton, Ky. and has three children, William, Corbett and Jessica Price.



The Trinity United Methodist Church Memorial Trust Fund for Others recently awarded two $1,000 scholarships for the upcoming fall semester. Alexandra Thurnall of Madison and Alyssa Clapp of Deputy were selected from 29 applicants.

Thurnall is a graduate of Madison Consolidated High School and plans to attend Ohio Northern University and major in pharmacy.

Clapp is a graduate of Madison Consolidated High School and plans to attend the University of Indianapolis and major in nursing.

The fund is specifically designated to help persons outside of the Trinity church community. Last year the fund awarded $16,335 to local causes.



Brienne Copeland of Madison was awarded a $8,000 scholarship from the American Quarter Horse Foundation. The scholarship is awarded to members of the foundation based on academic achievement, financial need, references and participation in equine-related activities.

She has participated in the American Quarter Horse Horseback Riding Program and the Indiana Quarter Horse Horseback Riding Program, earning the 250-hour achievement award in both organizations in 2013. In 2011, Copeland was selected as a top ten finalist for the Indiana Quarter Horse 4-H Horse Award.

Copeland is a 2014 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School. She is the daughter of Gary and Trina Copeland. She plans to attend Purdue.
