    A missed call opened the floodgates and Switzerland County broke through to pull away for a 12-1 win over Shawe baseball on Monday in Madison.

    Shawe starter Grayson Rhoten had limited Switzerland to just two hits through the first three-plus innings and the Hilltoppers were holding a 1-0 lead when disaster struck.

    Hanover women’s tennis will play Webster (Mo.) in the opening round of the 49-team NCAA Division III tournament on Thursday in Sewanee, Tenn.

    Hanover is making its second straight NCAA tourney appearance The Panthers (13-2) were unbeaten in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference regular-season and defeated Rose-Hulman 5-2 in the league’s tourney championship on Oct. 19.
