HIROSHIMA, Japan - The Yokohama Bay Stars battered Madison's Bryan Bullington for six runs - all earned - on 11 hits to score their first win of the season over the former Cub on Tuesday.

Bullington, now 2-1 against the Bay Stars, gave up eight singles, a double and a home run in one of his least productive starts of the season, a 6-1 loss at Mazda Stadium in Hiroshima.

The 11-hit onslaught was just part of an overall 17-6 advantage the Bay Stars rapped out over three Carp pitchers in the game.

Bullington lasted just 5 1/3 innings and still threw 103 pitches. The loss dropped the 1999 Madison graduate and Indiana Mr. Baseball's record to 4-9 on the season with a 3.30 ERA.
