Bryan Bullington falls to 2-3

HIROSHIMA, Japan - Madison's Bryan Bullington gave up three runs - one earned - over five innings in a 5-3 loss to the Chunichi Dragons Saturday at Mazda Stadium in Hiroshima.
Bullington got of to a rocky start when Chunichi benefited form the first of three Carp errors and a pair of singles to score a run in the top of the first inning.
Chunichi added a second run in the second on a leadoff walk, a single and a two-out double for the only earned run Bullington gave up in the start .
The Dragon capped their scoring against the 32-year-old right-hander in the fifth by following following a leadoff double with an error on a sacrifice fly.
Hiroshima scored a run each in the fifth, sixth and eighth innings but the Carp could never take Bullington off the hook for the loss.
Bullington struck out three and walked two on 95 pitches to fall to 2-3 on the season in eight starts. However, his ERA dropped to 2.07 on the season.
