HIROSHIMA, Japan - Madison's Bryan Bullington climbed back to .500 or the Hiroshima Carp with a 4-2 win over the Yomiuri Giants Saturday at Mazda Stadium in Hiroshima.

Bullington, now a winner of five straight decisions in seven starts since June 30, tossed six innings of six-hit baseball with six strikeouts, one walk and one hit batter to improve to 9-9 on the season with a 3.46 ERA.

Bullington, 32, threw 94 pitches in his 26th start of the season. Both of Yomiuri's runs were earned - on a leadoff double, sacrifice and RBI single in the second and a leadoff home run in the sixth by Shuichi Murata.

Bullington, a workhorse in his third season of Japanese baseball, has now worked 158.2 innings this season, allowing 146 hits while striking out 111 and walking 33.
