Carroll County ran its win streak to a season-high three games with a 58-56 victory over Covington Latin at home in girls basketball on Tuesday.

The Panthers led 19-11 after the first quarter and 51-32 heading into the fourth quarter. Latin outscored Carroll 23-7 in the fourth but the Trojans' rally fell two points short.

Makena Kindoll scored 20 points to lead Carroll County. Lauren Moore had 14 points and 12 rebounds and Miranda Groseclose added 12 points.

Doodle Amick added four points and Kirsten Arvin had two for the Panthers.

Carroll, now 6-15 on the season, hosts North Oldham on Tuesday.
