- Switzerland County's junior varsity boys basketball team split a pair of wins over the week.

On Friday, the Pacers defeated Christian Academy 34-18. Riley Phagan had nine points, four assists and three rebounds and Nathan Hunter had nine points and five rebounds.

On Saturday, Switzerland lost to South Central 51-34. Phagan had 25 points to lead the team while Hunter had eight points and six rebounds.

The Pacers' next travel to Southwestern on Jan. 11.

- Trimble County's boys junior varsity basketball team defeated St. Patrick 39-12 on Saturday night.

Dalton James lead the Raiders with eight points. Dusty Wyssbrod scored seven and T.J. Payton added six.

- Carroll County's girls basketball team is offering a chance to win a free car at an upcoming game.

In order to win the car, the participant must make a half court shot, a lay-up, a free throw, and a 3-pointer in 24 seconds.

The team is selling raffle tickets for $5. The event will take place Jan. 26 against Eminence.
