- Madison's jayvee girls basketball team pulled away in the second half to beat New Albany 44-31 Thursday at home.

Delany Liter led the Cubs with 11 points while LeeAnn Fox and Sami Whalen had eight points each.

Madison, now 10-2 on the season, travels to Austin on Saturday.

- Southwestern' girls junior varsity basketball team dropped a 31-26 decision to Austin Thursday night in Hanover.

The Lady Rebels were led by junior Samantha Ison with six points while sophomore Nadia Moore added five.

Austin got a game-high 11 points from freshman Hailey Misamore.

Southwestern, now 7-4, visits Christian Academy of Indiana Tuesday.

- Carroll County's girls basketball team is offering a chance to win a car at an upcoming game.

In order to win the car, the participant must make a half court shot, a lay-up, a free throw, and a 3-pointer in 24 seconds.

The team is selling raffle tickets for $5. The event will take place Jan. 26 when the Lady Panthers play Eminence.
