- Madison's football team competed in a 7-on-7 league at Milan on Saturday winning four of the five games the Cubs played.

The Cubs defeated Jennings County 23-17, Franklin County 16-12, Oldenburg 27-19 and South Dearborn 34-6. Their lone loss was to host Milan, 37-29.

Six of Madison offensive and defensive lineman competed in the Milan High School Lineman Challenge. The Madison Lineman finished second overall out of six teams. Events included Team Pass Protection, Drive Block, Bench Press, Tire Relay, Tug of War and Fast Linemen.



 - The Madison Lady Cubs soccer team has resumed its summer conditioning program.

The conditioning program runs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the MCHS soccer fields from 5-6:30 p.m. Girls should wear comfortable workout clothing and bring water. Soccer boots and shin guards are mandatory.

- The Madison Parks Department will have a Little League Tackle Football coaches meeting at 6 p.m. today at Brown Gym.

Anyone interested in being a head coach or an assistant coach is urged to attend. Details about the upcoming season including required USA football certification will be discussed.

- The Madison football program will hold a youth camp today through Wednesday.

The camp is for local youth in grades first through sixth and will run 6:30-8 p.m. daily. Each session is located at the Madison High School football practice field.

Cost of camp is $25 and includes a camp T-shirt. Registration forms are due by June 27, however, walk-up registrations will be taken the first day of camp.
