- Seniors Daniel Passafiume and Andy Dalton highlight a group of 13 members of Hanover College's football squad who have received post-season honors from the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Passafiume, a wide receiver from Louisville, and Dalton, a linebacker from Guilford, were joined by classmate Ajani Jones, a defensive tackle from Lauderdale Lakes, Fla., and Spencer Corrao, a sophomore running back from New Albany, were each first-team all-Heartland Conference selections.

Colton Zeck , a senior wideout from Galveston, Ind., Dwayne Eubanks, a senior receiver from Mitchell, Dexter Britt, a junior quarterback from Louisville, Brandon Foster, a junior linebacker from Haubstadt, Ryan Hahn, a sophomore center from Fort Thomas, Ky., and Jake Stilwell, a freshman defensive tackle from Pendleton, were each second-team honorees.

Shawn Gibson, a senior receiver/quarterback from Indianapolis, and Tom Call, a junior defensive end from Spring, Texas, each received honorable-mention recognition. Brian Robertson, a senior defensive end from Florence, Ky., was named to the Heartland Conference's all-sportsmanship team.



- Carroll County's girls and boys basketball programs will hold their annual Black and Gold scrimmage starting at 6 p.m. today.

Admission to the game is a canned good for the local food pantry.



- Switzerland County High School's girls basketball team will be holding an Angel Tree Game Toy Drive on Dec. 11.

The Lady Pacers host South Ripley that day and fans are asked to bring a new, never opened toy and will be entered to win free Nike Pacer gear. The drawing will be held at the end of the third quarter.
