Madison's baseball team picked up its fourth win in its last five outings 7-2 on Tuesday at Charlestown.

The Cubs scored two runs in the top of the first inning to lead 2-0 before the Pirates put a run across in the bottom of the second to trim the margin, 2-1.
Madison came back to score in four consecutive innings including two in the third and one run each in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings to extend the Cubs' lead at 7-1.
Charlestown scored a run in the bottom of the seventh before Madison slammed the door shut in the 7-2 win.
Clark Vaughn led the Cubs' offensive attack with three hits including a double. Derek Anderson and Ryan Thurston had two hits each including a home run by Anderson and triple by Thurston. Tanner Sauley also contributed a base hit.
Thurston picked up the victory on the mound. The senior threw a complete game, giving up only one earned run while striking out 10.
Madison (5-9) hosts South Ripley today.
