Madison scored an easy dual meet win over South Dearborn in its girls golf home opener Tuesday at Sunrise Golf Course.

The Lady Cubs shot a 162, led by Amanda Detmer's low-medalist performance. The junior shot an even-par 36. South Dearborn shot 217 as a team.

Senior Hannah Holt had a 39 for Madison, Abbi Wynn had a 42 and Carmen Velasco had a 45 to round out the Cubs' scoring. Jordan Dean had a 50.

In exhibition rounds, Kyla Johnson shot a 47 and LeAnn Fox had a 54.

Madison takes on Jeffersonville in its next match on Thursday. The dual meet will be held at the Elks Golf Course in Jeffersonville.

On Saturday, the Lady Cubs will take place in the annual Fuzzy Zoeller Invitational at the Covered Bridge Golf Course in Sellersburg. Detmer won the event last year with a 69. As a team, Madison placed seventh.
