Amanda Detmer was the match medalist and the Madison Cubs girls golf team continued a recent hot streak with a tri-match win over Seymour and Jennings County at St. Anne's Golf Course in North Vernon.

Madison, coming off Saturday's Hoosier Hills Conference championship, carded an impressive 164 that was 21 strokes better than Jennings County with Seymour shooting a 198.

Detmer, a junior, earned medalist honors with a 35.

Hannah Holt and Carmen Velasco each shot 42s and Abbi Wynn's 45 rounded out Madison's scoring. Kyla Johnson shot a 48, LeAnn Fox carded a 50 and Jordan Dean took a 56 in a non-scoring round.

The Cubs, host Switzerland County and South Ripley in their final regular season match today at Sunrise Golf Course.

Raiders beat Carroll by 23

Trimble County girls golf defeated rival Carroll County 193-216 Monday at Cardinal Hills Golf Course in Bedford.

The Raiders shot a 193 to Carroll's 216.

Brooke Huff and Kate Staples each shot 47s to lead Trimble County. Other Raiders in the scoring were Megan Turner with a 49 and Hayley Baker with a 50.

No scores were reported for Carrol County.

Trimble County closes the regular season today at Henry County.

Carroll County takes a week off before competing with Trimble in the North Central Kentucky Conference championships.
