Madison's Jordan Griffith finished second overall to lead the Cubs to a fifth-place finish at the Floyd Central Invitational at Valley View Golf Course on Saturday.

Griffith, a junior, carded a 76 to lead Madison to a 333 team total, a score that tied the Cubs with Evansville North for fifth in the 19-team event.

Fellow junior Carson Wattenbarger and sophomore Dylan Bilz each had 84s for Madison. Connor Kiefer rounded out Cubs' scoring with an 86.

In non-scoring round, Carson Cheatham shot an 89 and Mitchell Seng carded a 91 for Madison.

Fourth-ranked Jasper won the event with a 312 while Corydon Central was second at 325, No. 13 Providence was third with a 327 and Center Grove was fourth with a 332.

Madison hosts Seymour today at Sunrise Golf Course.
