HC track picked 2nd, 6th in HCAC

Hanover women's track and field was picked second and the men were picked sixth in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference outdoor preseason poll.
The women were just two votes out of first place. The Panthers received 94 total points and four first place votes while Defiance was tabbed as the favorite with 95 total points and six first place votes.
Rounding out the poll were Anderson and Franklin, both with 72, Manchester 66, Transylvania 45, Rose-Hulman 43, Bluffton 32, Earlham 21 and Mount St. Joseph 10.
Hanover juniors Briahna Chambers, Mackenzie Dye and Jordan Moseby alongside sophomore Ashlee Arbaugh were selected to the athletes to watch list.
In the men's poll Hanover collected 45 points with Bluffton 45, Transylvania 30, Mount St. Joseph 20 and Earlham 12 rounding out the poll. Rose-Hulman was picked to win the HCAC crown with 100 points and received all 10 first place votes.
Franklin 87, Manchester 77, Anderson 70 and Defiance 66 completed the top five.
Hanover freshman Torrey Gardiner, sophomores Nick Jaeger and Joe Feldman and junior Austin were selected as HCAC Athletes to Watch.
