TOKYO, Japan - Madison's Bryan Bullington saw his 2013 Nippon Professional Baseball record slip to .500 on the season after a hard-luck 1-0 loss to the Yomiuri Giants Sunday in Tokyo.

Bullington, now 2-2 with a 2.09 ERA, gave up just five hits over seven innings but one of the five was a leadoff solo home run by Giants' first baseman Jose Lopez in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Bullington struck out five and walked one while twirling a five-hitter on just 87 pitches in his sixth quality start in seven outings. However, the one run Yomiuri was abled to scratch out was just enough against the Carp's struggling offense.

The game was played before 46,707 at the Tokyo Dome.

Bullington ERA is currently the sixth best in the Central League including starters and relievers.
