Hanover men's lacrosse extended its winning streak to five matches on Wednesday afternoon as the Panthers bashed Fontbonne (Mo.) 17-3 in a Midwest Lacrosse Conference affair at L.S. Ayres Field on campus.

The Panthers quickly built an 11-2 advantage heading into the intermission and padded their lead the final two periods. Hanover scored four goals in the third period and finished the evening scoring two more in the fourth. Fontbonne added a late score with 35 seconds remaining for the final margin.

Hanover matched a season-high with 69 shots in the match including 40 in the first half. Junior Josh Green and freshman Frank Vest scored four goals each and senior Derek Coe collected a team-high four assists. Green also added a career-high 24 shot attempts.

Fontbonne (2-6, 1-2 MLC) was limited to 31 shots and was forced into 28 turnovers. Hanover senior Sam Kampert and Hermes each caused three miscues. Junior goalie Addison Sears got the start in the Panther net and posted six saves in 30 minutes of action.

Hanover (7-1, 3-0 MLC) visits Concordia (Wis.) on Saturday.
