Hanover College soccer picked 2nd in HCAC

Hanover's men's soccer team has been selected to finish fourth in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference this season in voting by league coaches.
Hanover picked up 68 points but also one of the 10 first-place votes. Transylvania received seven first-place votes and 95 total points and was tabbed as the favorite to win its fourth-straight conference crown.
Rose-Hulman totaled 91 points and two first place votes and was second while Anderson placed third in the poll with 73 points. After Hanover, Franklin (67 points), Earlham (47), Manchester (39), Defiance (33), Mount St. Joseph (24) and Bluffton (13) rounded out the poll.
Hanover had four players cited as Players to Watch by the league. Matt Grau, a junior midfielder from Cincinnati, Trevor Korfhagen, a junior goalkeeper from Cincinnati, Drew Roberts, a junior back from Goshen, Ky. and North Oldham High School, and Rodrigo Vargas, a sophomore back from Santiago, Chili, were singled out by the league.
