Hanover's Passafiume, Dalton garner all-North Region honors

Hanover football players Daniel Passafiume and Andy Dalton have each earned all-North Region honors from D3football.com.
Passafiume, a senior wide receiver from Louisville, was named to the region's second team. Dalton, a senior linebacker from Guilford, received third-team all-region honors from the website which has recognized the top NCAA Division III players for the past eight years. The North Region includes teams from Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois and portions of Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.
Passafiume is three-time all-region selection and a four-time all-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference pick.
He closed his career as the fifth-leading receiver in NCAA history (all-divisions) with 344 catches and leaves Hanover's program as the Panthers' career leader with 3,485 receiving yards and 39 receiving touchdowns.
During the 2012 season, Passafiume led the Heartland Conference in receptions and ranked second in the league in receiving yards per game. He finished with 90 catches for 915 yards and 12 touchdowns.
He also scored one rushing touchdown and added an 89-yard kick return for a score.
Dalton is a three-time all-North Region selection and a four-time all-HCAC honoree.
He led the Heartland Conference with 116 tackles and ranked 15th in the nation with 11.6 tackles per game.
Dalton led the Panthers' defense in tackles for three consecutive seasons and is the third Hanover player to log more than 400 tackles. He ranks third in school history with 423 stops.
