Lady Cubs rout Franklin Co. behind Crozier double-double

Olivia Crozier had a double-double of 24 points and 10 rebounds to lead Class 3A No. 14 Madison to a 70-24 win at Franklin County Tuesday in girls basketball action.
Crozier was 11-of-14 from the floor while setting a career-high in scoring. The 6-foot-1 sophomore also had four blocks, three steals and three deflections.
Madison led 15-5 after the first quarter and 40-11 at halftime. The Cubs pushed the lead to 56-22 after the third quarter.
Whitney Wynn had 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting and added six rebounds for Madison. Hannah Bickers had 10 points and Emily Holland had 10 points and seven rebounds. Delanie Jones had seven assists.
Madison shot nearly 50 percent from the floor (30-for-61) but struggled to a 2-of-13 performance on 3-pointers and 8-of-21 from the free-throw line.
Autumn Koors had nine points to lead Franklin County, which hit just 8-of-39 (21 percent) from the floor.
The win was Madison's school-record-tying 15th of the regular season, joining the 1996-97 team. The Lady Cubs, now 15-4, visit Charlestown Friday for their regular-season finale.
