Trimble County's Lady Raiders finished on the short end of a 66-43 decision to Lexington Christian Academy on Friday night at the Herrington Lake Classic in Burgin, Ky.

"Lexington Christian definitely is a solid basketball team," Trimble head coach Kerrie Stewart said. "They beat us in transition and we had a poor shooting night. We can play better but we had a bad night."

The Raiders' smooth-shooting junior guard Paige Black, was just 1-of-18 from the field and missed numerous layups and pull-up jumpers in the paint - normally her bread and butter shots.

"Paige got a little injury to her leg against Western Hills the other night but it had loosened up fine. Then she took another hit early in tonight's game and was limping after that so maybe that had something to do with her shooting," Stewart said.

Chloe Griffith led the Raiders with 14 points and Kaylee Clifford scored nine.

Senior guard Kristin Rinehart led LAC (6-2) with 16 points and Carah Burdette, a freshman point guard, scored 14 while junior point guard Katelin Bundy added 11 and reached the 1,000-point career milestone early in the game.

Trimble (4-6) will play Presentation Academy at 6 p.m. today in the third place game of the Herrington Lake Classic in Burgin.
