Southwestern's boys and girls track teams competed in a four-way meet against host Salem, Silver Creek and Austin on Monday.

In the girls meet, Southwestern finished second with 69 points. Salem won the meet with 89 points. Silver Creek was third with 56 and Austin was fourth with 12.

The Lady Rebels had four first place finishers in individual events. Savannah Hubbard won the long jump at 15 feet, 8.5 inches and the 100 hurdles in 18.2 seconds. Bethani Kleopfer won the shot put at 35 feet, 11.5 inches, and Morgan Mahoney won the 100 dash in 14.5 seconds.

Other top finishers for the Lady Rebels were: Mahoney, second, 200 dash, 28.9; Mahoney, second, 400 dash, 1:03.1; Hubbard, second, 300 hurdles, 54.1; Savannah Rueda, second, 800 run, 2:44.3; Hubbard, Rueda, Nadia Moore, Mahoney, second, 1600 relay, 4:36.6; Rueda, second, long jump, 14-6.75; Moore, second, high jump, 5-0; Kleopfer, second, discus, 42-2; Rueda, third, 100 hurdles, 20.5; Moore, third, 400 dash, 1:09.6.

In the boys meet, the Rebels finished third with 24 points. Silver Creek won the meet with 112, followed by Salem with 81. Austin was fourth with 20.

Top finishers for the Southwestern boys were: Travis Higham, second, long jump, 19-4; Zach Brooks, second, high jump, 5-10; Ryan Furnish, second, 800 run, 2:17; Higham, Austin Spray, Brooks, and Branden Arney, 400 relay, 48.7; Brooks, Spray, Furnish and Arney, third, 1600 relay, 4:09.9.
