Madison boys soccer falls 1-0 on late goal at New Albany

Madison boys soccer fell in the final minutes to Hoosier Hills Conference foe New Albany 1-0 on Tuesday.
The host Cubs played the Bulldogs to a scoreless tie until 14 minutes left in the match when New Albany capitalized on a defensive mistake, scoring the lone goal of the game.
Madison (5-6, 1-4 HHC) visits Floyd Central on Thursday for an HHC match.
Tigers rout Lady Rebels
Southwestern girls soccer dropped a 7-0 decision to Lawrenceburg's junior varsity Tuesday on the road.
Lawrenceburg's varsity is the third-ranked team in Class A.
"They are a good team and we enjoyed the opportunity to play them," Southwestern coach Nancy Totten said. "Opel (Panisaraporn Punkiriya) stepped in as center midfield during the second half and played excellently."
Southwestern hosts South Ripley on Thursday in its final regular season match.
