Whether Jimmy Shane will be the new driver of the Oh Boy! Oberto/Miss Madison has not been confirmed, but Shane is officially no longer driver of the Graham Trucking.
The Ted Porter-owned Precision Performance Engineering Team, which is sponsored by Graham Trucking, took to its Facebook page on Wednesday to announce that Shane has left the team and is no longer driver of the Graham Trucking.
"TO OUR U5 RACING FANS! Yes - Jimmy has left the team. Yes - We're disappointed in his decision," the post read. "Yes! - We have a plan in place to continue dominating the sport! Thanks Again For Your Continued Awesome U5 Racing Team Support !!!"
On Tuesday, the website Hydro-News.com reported that Shane had been hired as the next driver of the Miss Madison Racing team, to succeed the now retired Steve David. However. Miss Madison Racing Team Manager Charlies Grooms declined to confirm or deny that report or rumors concerning David's replacement.
Shane won the National High Points Championship aboard the Graham Trucking this past season. He has six wins over the past two seasons and is currently the second-winningest active driver behind N. Mark Evans, who has 10.
