Switzerland County suffered its first conference girls basketball loss on a 56-51 setback in double overtime at Risign Sun on Tuesday.
The Pacers held the lead late in both regulation and the first overtime but couldn't close the door each time.
"This was a tough loss for us. We should have won the game in the first overtime but had a critical turnover and then gave up the uncontested three to put the game into the second overtime," Switzerland coach Ashley Chase said. "We have to learn from this game, otherwise this game goes down as a loss and that's it. We have three games left in the regular season and tonight just confirmed that we have to come ready to play."
Brooke Todd led Switzerland with 12 points and Kelsi Konkle scored 10. Mercedes Parham had nine, Makenzie Mathews scored seven, Hailee Lay had five and Bre Ricketts scored two.
Switzerland, now 8-10 overall and 2-1 in the Ohio River Valley Conference, visits South Ripley on Thursday.
